THE STORY OF IZYFOIL
How we revisited the electric foil
WHAT WAS 666FOIL ?
Is that a date? The secret code to an escape game? The devil’s number?
It could be all of those things, but it’s so much more.
A complicated number for mathematicians, like this project.
The devil’s number, which alone can recreate the waves and the wind.
666 is three intertwined sixes that form a helix.
But also June 66, the year one of the founders was born.
The choice to sail differently without greenhouse gas emissions via an electric foil, without noise and without making waves.
This is also the name of the association which carries out the tuning tests on Lake Annecy.
WHO IS IZYFOIL ?
The founding team of IZYFOIL is composed of 5 mad-minded people, who have given their body and soul to the elaboration of the electric foil boards that we present to you.
Each of them has his own speciality and has been able to exploit it in order to create the best “handmade” boards in Annecy.
LAURENT
He’s the magician of the gang. When he’s not on his rafting bases or on the slopes of Revard, he sometimes thinks about how to carry out his project. He is the crazy intellectual of the team, come and meet him and you will hallucinate.
ALAIN
He’s the savoyard, he’s been wanting to invent this autonomous board since college, that’s how old it is! Today, he’s taking part in the whole project and in the summer and winter tests! Nothing stops him!
CHRISTOPHE
The most Savoyard of the Bretons, he is meticulous and expert in electronics. He loves kite, paragliding, his mates and his two daughters. All the propulsion of the E-FOILS is his.
NICO
He’s the king of resin, gelcoat, frosting. It’s his boards you’re gonna be riding. Specialist of the practice, he rides in all directions and in all weathers, it will not surprise anyone that his next trick will be the pear tree on the E-FOIL.
TITOU
He’s Gad’zarts, passionate about snow sports. He likes to put sound in the forest with his buddies and of course to sail and think about Foil. He’s the roucky of the band, he’s 22 years old and he’s a sports engineer.
